Defensive End
It’s hard to differentiate between a defensive end and an outside linebacker in Tennessee’s recruiting, but the Vols do need to pick up some defensive ends in this class to make sure their depth is shored up down the line. And fortunately for the Vols, they’re in on several ends in this class.
Four-star Khris Bogle likely projects as an outside linebacker, but he’s listed as a defensive end and is very high on Tennessee’s board right now. He also really seems to like the Vols. Four-star Mississippi State commit Charles Moore is someone UT’s coaches are working on trying to flip as well. In-state prospect and four-star end Bill Norton is committed to Georgia, but Tennessee isn’t giving up on him either, and another in-state player, three-star Zion Logue will be interesting to keep an eye on too.
The Vols’ defensive ends will be bigger under Pruitt than they were under Butch Jones. So don’t be surprised if some players listed as defensive tackles by recruiting services get looked at by UT’s staff as possible ends too.
