The Vols’ newest addition to their roster, Alabama grad transfer Brandon Kennedy doesn’t have a lot playing time to boast as he joins Tennessee. But the redshirt sophomore spent three years in Alabama’s strength and conditioning program and already has a relationship with Jeremy Pruitt from their time with the Tide.

Kennedy has only appeared in a handful of games in his college career and never started for Alabama. The former four-star recruit suffered a season-ending injury last year and was granted a medical redshirt after the season. Because of that, he has two years of eligibility remaining rather than the typical one year that most grad transfers have. And as long as he can remain healthy with the Vols, he should be able to come in and start immediately.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound lineman can play both guard and center, and he’ll have a chance to win a starting job at either of those positions with Tennessee. Health should be his biggest concern, and there’s a good chance Kennedy is starting on the Vols’ line in Week 1.
