Princeton Fant, WR/RB
(Photo via USA Today Sports)Pruitt and his staff moved around a lot of players during spring practices this year. Several players switched positions and found permanent homes at their new spots while others bounced around and still don’t have a position they’re locked into. The latter of those categories applies to Princeton Fant.
According to UT’s online roster, Fant didn’t redshirt last season during his freshman year, so he’s a sophomore heading into the 2018 season. He served as a running back for part of Tennessee’s spring practices just to have a bigger body in the backfield, but he likely isn’t staying there and could move back to wide receiver or even tight end. He might even move to defense. Regardless of where he goes, this year needs to be a developmental year for him as he tries to find his role. He has talent, but he just needs to figure out how to use that talent the most effectively.
