Vols Make Top 10 for Florida State Commit

The recruitment of four star defender Quashon Fuller just got a little more interesting.

The defensive end from Lehigh Acres, Florida is a long time Florida State commit. But he may be close to opening his recruitment back up. On Sunday afternoon, he tweeted out a top 10. His list included the Vols.

He tweeted out a letter stating that while he is still committed to the Seminoles, his recruitment is still open.

Per 247sports, he is the 257 ranked player in the nation, and the 20th ranked strong side defensive end.

Fuller committed to Florida State back in February of 2017. But that relationship has weakened since Jimbo Fisher left for Texas A&M.

Plenty of schools have made a push for Fuller lately, most notably Miami, and they’ve gained a lot of ground.

Fuller is an exciting prospect, and has had quite the career at Lehigh Senior High School. At 6-3, 277 pounds, he has impressive size, and pairs that with unique athleticism.

While he only played three games his junior year due to injury, he still put together an impressive highlight tape. He is a high motor player, and is physically dominant. He does a good job using his hands, to attach to offensive lineman, then seperate. He plays with good leverage and is quick off the line of scrimmage.

Fuller was offered by the Vols before Jeremy Pruitt was hired. While Pruitt and the new staff did reaffirm the offer, they haven’t put much energy into recruiting Fuller. Now it appears that he may have some serious interest in Tennessee. The Volunteers currently have a lot of momentum on the recruiting trail, and need to continue to build upon that.
