6. Emmit Gooden, Defensive Tackle
Shy Tuttle is likely the starter at nose tackle for the Vols when they’re in a 3-4 defensive set. But what about when they line up in 4-3 sets? Who will be the other tackle alongside him? Emmit Gooden will bring plenty of competition to that other defensive tackle spot this fall. The four-star JUCO lineman has a chance to win a starting spot this fall, and he has the talent to do so. Plus, his time at junior college gives him a leg up on incoming freshmen and some of the younger players on Tennessee’s roster.
