Top 10 Newcomers to Watch for Vols this Fall

7. Jeremy Banks, Running Back

Tennessee didn’t have much running back depth this spring. The Vols only had three scholarship running backs at the start of spring, and Jeremy Pruitt moved Princeton Fant over to the position for a while just to give them more bodies there. Banks will be one of two running backs joining the Vols’ roster this fall, and he should be able to find some snaps as a true freshman.

Banks was a borderline three-star/four-star back out Cordova, TN and was teammates with fellow UT signee, four-star offensive lineman and early enrollee Jerome Carvin. Banks brings a big body (6-foot-2, 215 pounds) and great awareness to the Vols’ stable of running backs. He fits the mold of what Tennessee’s new coaching staff wants in running backs moving forward.
