Keyton announced that the Vols were in his top six back in April. He also considered Auburn and Penn State.
More than 20 schools offered the electric play-maker out of Georgia. Wide receivers coach David Johnson was the lead recruiter for the Vols.
The 247Sports Composite rankings has Keyton listed as the 27th-best receiver in the country and the No. 165 overall player in the country. They also have him ranked as the No. 20 player in the state of Georgia.
At 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, Keyton provides quarterbacks a big frame to throw the ball to. He is a phenomenal athlete and can accelerate past defenders in man coverage, and he can high point 50/50 balls. His hands are elite. He controls the ball really well and easily catches balls that aren’t in his frame; he has very strong hands. He is an excellent route runner and doesn’t present any glaring weaknesses as a player.
