The Vols’ pass catchers looked ahead of Tennessee’s secondary in terms of development and skill. Nigel Warrior had a good day, and Micah Abernathy certainly didn’t look bad either. But Tennessee’s corners struggled on the first team defense. Marquill Osborne had two pass break ups, and Baylen Buchanan had a few as well. But the secondary still struggled with consistency. The Orange Team looked a little better than expected, and Theo Jackson impressed with an interception and his overall play. Alontae Taylor didn’t look bad at corner either, breaking up a pass and playing some good coverage.
