Tennessee’s annual spring scrimmage, the Orange & White Game, is this Saturday. And for the first time in a few years, it will actually be formatted like a real game and not some type of “event.”
At 2 PM Eastern on Saturday, April 21st, the Vols will take the field at Neyland Stadium in front of tens of thousands of fans. Some players will be in Neyland in front of a big crowd for the first time ever, and others will be back there for the first time since November of last year.
This will be the first Orange & White Game for new head coach Jeremy Pruitt and his staff, and they’ve made a push to get Tennessee fans to show up in a big way for the spring game. The Vols’ record for most fans in attendance for the Orange & White Game came in 1986 when 73,801 fans showed up to watch.
Whether or not Tennessee can set that record will be interesting to see, but there are plenty of other stories to follow during Tennessee’s annual spring game. Here’s our list of the five main things to watch during the Orange & White Game.
