Tennessee has been extremely thin at running back this spring, and the Vols’ running backs have been a topic of discussion by both Pruitt and Vol fans for a lot of this spring. Pruitt has discussed the importance of finding capable bodies to play the position, and the unit was supplemented by moving Princeton Fant over to provide some more depth and a bigger body.

But the Vols’ undoubted starter at the position is rising sophomore Ty Chandler. And after a freshman season that saw him flash his potential even with him being underutilized, many are hoping he can step up and be a dynamic force on the offense this year.

The Vols’ offensive line will have a lot to say about how successful any of Tennessee’s backs can be, but Chandler will likely be the bell cow for the offense. How will he do as the No. 1 option on Saturday?
