4. Drew Richmond, OL
When Tennessee landed Drew Richmond in the 2015 recruiting class, Vol fans were ecstatic. The five-star lineman out of Memphis had unlimited potential and was viewed as a potential cornerstone for Tennessee’s offensive line.
Fast forward to now, however, and Richmond has largely failed to live up to the hype.
The rising redshirt junior has made several starts at left tackle, but he has never truly established himself as a high level tackle at college. A change of positions might help Richmond, but whatever it is that he does, he needs to do it well this spring.
The Vols need help along the offensive line in a big way. If Richmond can prove to his coaches that he can be that type of help this spring, then he’ll solidify a spot on a unit that figures to be reworked a great deal.
