It wasn’t easy, but No. 18 Tennessee found a way to hold off South Carolina on Tuesday night to get back into the win column with a 70-67 victory. The Vols led by as much as 13 points in the second half, but the Gamecocks could not be put away and made it a one-point game with 21.5 seconds to go.
But luckily for the Vols, their best player came to play.
Grant Williams nailed a turnaround jumper in the paint to give Tennessee a 70-67 lead with 11 seconds to go, and the Vols were able to prevent South Carolina from tying it up on the other end to get the win.
