Analysis: Helton has never been a true offensive coordinator at a Power Five school, but he has a track record of working well with quarterbacks. Helton helped guide Sam Darnold at USC the past two seasons and also helped transform Brandon Doughty into an elite collegiate quarterback at Western Kentucky. His background with quarterbacks earns him high marks, but it remains to be seen what he can do as the main play caller on a big stage.
