2018 Outlook:
JJ Peterson is the highest rated player in this class and for good reason. He has a diverse skill set and is freakishly athletic. At outside linebacker, Tennessee has plenty of options. Jonathan Kongbo is rumored to be moving to the position, and Austin Smith is a guy ready to have a breakout year if he can stay healthy. Peterson’s ability to both rush the passer and drop into coverage will ultimately be the reason he will start. The Vols will probably rotate a decent amount of players at the position, but I think he has the upper hand to be at the top of the depth chart.
