Tight End
Dominick Wood-Anderson
Star Rating: 4 stars
National Ranking: 9 (JUCO)
Position Rankin: 1 (JUCO)
2018 Outlook:
Ethan Wolf had a long tenure as the Vols tight end, but now he has graduated. Tennessee will be looking for someone else to step into his place at the top of the depth chart. Right now, I think Wood-Anderson will be the one to do it. He is a freak athlete and has a great skill set as both a receiver and a blocker. Tennessee will likely frequent two tight end sets this year, and they’re deep at the position in terms of bodies. Guys like Eli Wolf and LaTrell Bumphus should also receive plenty of snaps. Wood-Anderson, however, will take the most snaps. He reminds me a lot of Evan Engram.
Jacob Warren
Star Rating: 3 stars
Overall Ranking: 721
Position Ranking: 36
2018 Outlook:
I don’t expect Jacob Warren to see the field this year, and that is perfectly fine. He needs to redshirt so he can put on more weight and get a lot of stronger. There are a lot of older, talented players at the position, so he will start his career towards the bottom of the depth chart. But the talent is there for the future.
