2018 Outlook:
Banks is a very good player, but he will be entering a crowded running back room. Ty Chandler, Carlin Files-aime, Trey Coleman, and Tim Jordan all have a good chance to get some carries every game, with Chandler likely getting the bulk of the carries. With that being said, running backs coach Robert Gillespie seems to really like Banks. At the signing day celebration on Wednesday night, Gillespie said, “(Banks is) a guy that’s smart enough and tough enough to come in and help us a true freshman.” There might not be many carries available for him this year, but it seems as if the coaching staff would like to find a role for him.
