Safety
Joseph Norwood
Star Rating: 3 stars
Overall Ranking: 923
Position Ranking: 75
2018 Outlook:
Norwood is a cool story. He didn’t get an offer until signing day morning, and he immediately committed. Norwood may be the most aggressive player in this class; he loves to hit people. He is also undersized, so if he wants to keep playing like that he will have to get bigger. His coverage skills also need work. I would imagine he will take a much needed redshirt this year. He, like Brandon Davis, is also a blueshirt.
Trevon Flowers
Star Rating: 3 stars
Overall Ranking: 1,041
Position Ranking: 87
2018 Outlook:
Flowers was a great addition to this class. Safety is one of the better positions on the Vols roster right now with guys like Nigel Warrior, Micah Abernathy, and Todd Kelly Jr. on the roster. It wouldn’t be crazy to think, however, that Flowers could find some playing time this year. Pruitt told ESPN’s Chris Lowe on signing day that he believes Flowers is the “steal of the class.” He won’t play a lot this year, if any at all, but he can develop into a nice player.
