Vols Get Visit from Five-Star Georgia Commit

Tennessee is hosting several highly-rated players on official and unofficial visits this weekend. And one of those players is one of the top prospects in the 2019 class.

Jadon Haselwood is a five-star wide receiver in the 2019 class and is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the cycle according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 3 overall player in the class, and he’s currently committed to Georgia. But the Vols were able to convince him to come visit Knoxville this weekend.

Haselwood is a 6-foot-3, 180 pound receiver out of Ellenwood, Georgia who committed to the Bulldogs back in mid-March of 2017. The Vols and Bulldogs are just two of many schools who have already offered the electric play-maker out of Georgia. Haselwood also holds offers from Auburn, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, and several other schools.

Tennessee isn’t the only SEC school he’s visited recently, however. Haselwood visited Auburn on January 20th and also visited them back in November. He’s also unofficially visited Oklahoma, Clemson, South Carolina, and Georgia.

As a junior, Haselwood played both defensive back and wide receiver for Cedar Grove High School. And that athleticism serves him well on both sides of the ball. Haselwood has exceptional speed and awareness, and he’s a physical player. His physicality comes through well when he plays defensive back, but it also translates to his offensive skill set too.

Haselwood isn’t the only 2019 player visiting Tennessee this weekend, but he’s the highest-rated prospect who’s in Knoxville. The Vols are also hosting a number of 2018 recruits for the final official visiting weekend of the 2018 cycle.
