Otito Ogbonnia, DT
One of the six defensive tackles who are visiting the Vols this weekend, Otito Ogbonnia picked up an offer from Tennessee back on January 2nd and has been high on the Vols ever since.
Ogbonnia measures in at 6-foot-4, 295 pounds and plays in Katy, Texas. He’s a three-star tackle and is the No. 55 defensive tackle in the 2018 class. He’s set to visit Nebraska next weekend following his visit to Tennessee.
The Vols and Cornhuskers are the two most recent teams to offer Ogbonnia, and they seem to be two of the favorites to land him. He also holds offers from UCLA, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and others.
Tennessee needs someone to fit in at nose tackle in their 3-4 defensive scheme, and Ogbonnia would definitely work at that position. He’s a little bit more of a project than some of the other defensive tackles that Jeremy Pruitt and his staff are targeting, but he would still work.
