Rick Barnes coached his 1,000th career game on Saturday night. And the Vols helped make it a memorable one, as they soared to their third straight victory by defeating Texas A&M 75-62.
No. 24 Tennessee handled the Aggies on the glass and forced a plethora of turnovers. And the Vols used their depth to overcome poor shooting nights from both Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield. Kyle Alexander scored a career-high 14 points, and Jordan Bowden led the Vols with 15 points. Jordan Bone was the lead facilitator and finished with 10 points, four assists, and three rebounds.
Rick Barnes had plenty to say about his team’s depth, their maturity after starting out 0-2 in conference play, and the play from Alexander and Jordan Bone.
