Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt was hired as the Vols’ new head football coach on December 7th, and his hiring capped off what was an eventful month after the firing of Butch Jones.
Pruitt comes into the job at Tennessee with no prior head coaching experience, but he has four total national championship rings as an assistant and defensive coordinator both at Alabama and Florida State. He’s already made most of his staff hires, and he’s impressed fans with his ability to salvage together what’s looking like a respectable 2018 recruiting class.
