Jeremy Pruitt’s coaching staff has been hitting the recruiting trail hard over the last week, and they continued to extend scholarship offers to highly-rated 2019 recruits on Wednesday.

De’Monte Russell, a four-star defensive end in the 2019 class, tweeted out late Wednesday night that he had picked up his seventh FBS offers so far, and that offer was from Tennessee.

Russell is already the No. 217 overall player in the 2019 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, and the regular 247Sports rankings have him as the 96th overall player in the country in the 2019 class. He figures to be a highly sought-after defensive end in this recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-5, 225 pound end from Jackson, Mississippi already holds offers from Florida State, LSU, Mississippi State, Oregon, Ole Miss, and Kentucky along with his offer from Tennessee.

His highlight tape shows off his speed and athleticism as a pass rusher. Russell will need to add some weight if he wants to play end in college, but he may be targeted as an outside linebacker in Pruitt’s 3-4 defense. Even still, he’ll need to add a little weight to his frame.

The Vols have already offered 206 players in the 2019 class. Most of those offers were extended by Butch Jones and his staff, but Pruitt and his coaches have been throwing out plenty of offers over the last week as they look forward to the 2019 class.
