Running back isn’t one of the Vols’ top priorities in the 2018 class, but they are looking to add at least one more if possible. And they just extended an offer to another highly-rated one this weekend.
Tennessee’s coaching staff gave an offer to borderline three-star/four-star back Tavion Thomas this weekend. He’s the No. 385 overall player and the 16th-rated running back in the 2018 class. Thomas is currently committed to Oklahoma and has offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, and many other schools.
At 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, Thomas fits the body style of running back that Pruitt and his staff have been targeting since coming to Tennessee. Thomas is a powerful back who has deceptive elusiveness as well.
