Another player who appears to fit that defensive end/outside linebacker hybrid mold that Pruitt is looking for, Caleb Johnson is a recruit who was offered by Tennessee’s previous coaching staff that could transfer over to this one as well.

Tennessee’s new coaching staff doesn’t appear to have made Johnson as much of a priority as the previous one, but Johnson does appear to still be interested in the Vols. At 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, Johnson has the size to play an outside linebacker role in the 3-4 defense the Vols are expected to play under Pruitt.

Johnson also holds offers from Auburn, Georgia, Florida, and LSU among others.
