Eddie Smith is a versatile athlete who projects to play cornerback in college. And he has the type of body and frame that many coaches in the SEC covet in a cornerback, including Jeremy Pruitt.

For months, Smith was considered a TCU lean. But the 6-foot-1, 181 pound athlete/corner out of Slidell, Louisiana received a crystal ball for Tennessee on December 22nd. Pruitt and the Vols offered Smith on December 8th and have turned their attention to him since.

Smith has picked up an offer from Arkansas since then, and he holds offers from TCU, Georgia, Missouri, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, and others as well.

Smith played both corner and receiver for Salmen High School.
