Kelvin Joseph, S
Safety isn’t nearly as big of a priority for the Vols in the 2018 class as cornerback is, but Tennessee could use to add one in the class if they have the room and find someone they like. And they’re swinging big with Kelvin Joseph.
Joseph is a top-50 overall player in the 2018 class, and the Vols just recently extended a scholarship offer to him. He’s rated as the No. 37 overall player in this recruiting cycle and is the 4th-rated safety. The four-star prospect out of Louisiana decommitted from LSU back in October.
The 6-foot-1, 191 pound safety has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, and others. He’s a physical safety who still expects to have LSU high on his list. But Pruitt and his staff will likely push hard for him.
