Tennessee needed a win to avoid the worst season in the program’s 121 year history. But unfortunately for the Vols, that didn’t happen.
The Vols lost 42-24 to Vanderbilt in embarrassing fashion, and the loss gave Tennessee their worst record in program history. That loss gave Tennessee eight losses on the year for the first time ever, and it also marked the first time in school history that Tennessee went winless in SEC play since joining the SEC in 1933.
And as you can imagine, there was plenty to say after the game.
Managing editor Nathanael Rutherford and RTI staff writer Will Boling reacted live on Facebook Live and Periscope to the brutal loss to Vandy, the fallout from the worst season Tennessee has ever had, and looked ahead to who the Vols will hire as the next head coach and when the announcement will be made.
