The Jauan Jennings saga isn’t over just yet.

Earlier this week the junior wide receiver was kicked off the team by interim coach Brady Hoke. Jennings insulted the former coaching staff in a profanity-laced rant that he posted to Instagram after leaving practice on the day before Thanksgiving.

Mere hours after that video was posted, Hoke made the decision alongside John Currie to dismiss Jennings from the team.

But on Sunday afternoon, Jennings went back to Instagram Live to apologize for his actions.

To put it simply, he hasn’t given up joining this team again.

“I’m a Vol for Life,” Jennings said. “I plan to work with our new coach and athletic director to do whatever it takes to get back on this football team.

“My passion for this team cannot be described in words…I felt like I could not help the team because I was not on the field.”

Jennings was healthy enough to play against Vanderbilt according to his video, but he remained suspended for not showing up to the complex for practice and treatment.

That’s what caused his original video questioning the honesty of Hoke and his staff.

“I was hurt during the week to learn that the decision to play against our in-state rival was changed.”

Jennings is eligible to enter the 2018 NFL draft if Tennessee’s new coach decides to uphold Hoke’s decision to dismiss the junior wideout.

Here is the full video of his apology. Since Jennings’ Instagram is private, we had to record his video and post the recording instead.
