For the first time since it was announced that Butch Jones had been let go as the Vols’ head football coach, some of Tennessee’s players spoke to the media.

Seniors Ethan Wolf and Kendall Vickers along with junior Kyle Phillips spoke to the media on Tuesday afternoon. They were asked about how they’ve handled the departure of Jones and how the team is going about their business afterwards. Some also spoke to the season as a whole to this point as well as how they’re approaching the final two regular season games this season.

Tight end Ethan Wolf talked about how the players reacted to Butch Jones’ departure and how he and the rest of the team plan to handle the rest of the season.

Defensive tackle Kendall Vickers spoke about how the season has played out thus far and if the change at head coach will affect how he and the rest of the team look at the past and the future for this season.

Defensive end Kyle Phillips talked about the disappointment he’s felt from this season and how Brady Hoke differs from Jones as a coach.
