Quarterback
Jarrett Guarantano got off to a good start, but unfortunately he couldn’t finis the game. Guarantano was 9-of-13 for 102 yards and had a rushing touchdowns in one half of play. But injury sidelined him at halftime, and true freshman Will McBride’s redshirt was burned. McBride wasn’t asked to do a whole lot aside from handing the ball off, and Tennessee’s battered offensive line didn’t give him much time when he did throw. He finished 1-of-8 for 13 yards in he debut.
