Here’s the first appearance of the Vols’ dreadful 2008 offense. Tennessee’s 2008 offense is widely regarded as the worst in modern day UT history, and that’s rightfully so. They appear three times on this list.

Tennessee didn’t score a touchdown in this game till 7:26 left in the entire game, and at that point the game was long over. Alabama won 29-9 and held the Vols to just 21 rushing yards on 36 carries.

Nick Stephens got the start at quarterback for Tennessee, and he was harassed all game by Alabama’s defense. He couldn’t get anything going, and the Tide were able to key in on the Vols’ rushing attack in a big way. Surprisingly, the Vols didn’t turn the ball over a single time in this game and still managed to put up paltry offensive numbers.
