Secondary
Rashaan Gaulden and Nigel Warrior turned in superb performances, and freshman Shawn Shamburger largely shined in his first career start. Gaulden was all over the field in this game, breaking up several passes and recovering a fumble on special teams as well. Warrior also broke up a couple passes, and Shamburger led the team in tackles with 12 and recorded a sack. But it wasn’t all good for the secondary, as Alabama connected on a number of deeper passes and wound up with 332 passing yards between their two quarterbacks.
