Jonathan Crompton
Jonathan Crompton finished his career much better than how he started it. Thanks to Lane Kiffin’s tutelage, Crompton turned in a solid senior season in 2008. But his Tennessee career got off to a much rockier start than it ended.
Erik Ainge went down with injury in the 2006 season, and Phillip Fulmer turned to Crompton to lead the Vols’ offense. Crompton got his first career start against Arkansas on November 11th, 2006, and his results were less than stellar.
Crompton completed 16 of his 34 pass attempts for 174 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in Tennessee’s 31-14 loss to the Razorbacks.
