Trevor Daniel had two bad punts, but he made up for those with two excellent punts as well. He boomed a 72-yard punt and a few other 50-plus yarders to push his average to 52.3 yards per punt in the game. The Vols were surprisingly perfect on field goal attempts, as freshman Brent Cimaglia connected on all three of his tries. Of course, all three were within 33 yards, but he still hit them all. Tennessee’s return game, however, continues to be non-existent because of teams kicking away from them. And the Vols’ punt coverage could use some improvement, but overall it wasn’t bad and didn’t give up any huge returns.

  1. Obviously, Butch Jone is on the hot seat, but at what point do they shuffle the offensive play calling. It hasn’t been good. Do they take that responsibility away from Larry Scott, get rid of him, etc? What is your suggestion?
