Tennessee’s secondary has shown some solid improvement this season. South Carolina was the first “pass heavy” offense they faced this season so far, and the Vols’ defensive backs were largely able to take care of business. Jake Bentley was held in check for essentially the entire game, and the Vols only allowed 129 passing yards for the entire game. Bryan Edwards was held to a 10.5 yard per catch average, and dangerous tight end Hayden Hurst was held without a catch thanks to excellent coverage by Nigel Warrior. Rashaan Gaulden had a fantastic game as well and continues to show why he’s arguably the Vols’ best defender on the roster.

  1. Obviously, Butch Jone is on the hot seat, but at what point do they shuffle the offensive play calling. It hasn’t been good. Do they take that responsibility away from Larry Scott, get rid of him, etc? What is your suggestion?
