Defensive Line

Tennessee’s defense as a whole had a fairly good game against South Carolina, but the defensive line failed to make much of an impact overall. Kahlil McKenzie picked up the Vols’ lone sack, and Shy Tuttle made a couple plays. But injuries and suspensions really hurt this group overall. Darrell Taylor was suspended for the game, and Deandre Johnson was a late scratch before kickoff. But the line still could’ve made a much bigger difference than they did.

  1. Obviously, Butch Jone is on the hot seat, but at what point do they shuffle the offensive play calling. It hasn’t been good. Do they take that responsibility away from Larry Scott, get rid of him, etc? What is your suggestion?
