10. Darrell Taylor, DE
Darrell Taylor has had a solid start to his 2017 season so far, but the Georgia game will be his toughest test yet. And the Vols need him to step up and prove he’s ready to be an effective defensive end this season and beyond.
Through the first four games of the year, Taylor has 18 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, and a fumble recovery. Taylor’s lone sack came against SEC competition a couple weeks ago when Tennessee played Florida.
Taylor has performed well, but he needs a solid game against Georgia to not only prove he belongs on the defensive line, but also to help the Vols win.

One of Jones biggest problems is that he plays mind games with his players with regard to playing time. Call it an inferiority complex, he has to show people whose in charge. Case in point Bituli. A tackling machine but held out because of mental mistakes. Really? Jones, you’ve had two years to coach him up. You can’t be afraid to play 2-3 string players; that’s what has gotten you in trouble (Hurd is a great example).
