Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

Sophomore Brandon Johnson had the best game of his career in this one, hauling in seven receptions for 123 yards. But even he had a bad play, dropping a surefire first down and more when Guarantano was in the game. The rest of Tennessee’s wideouts and tight ends didn’t have great games, but most of them avoided truly terrible performances. Tyler Byrd finally got some action, and he pulled down two catches for 22 yards and a score along with a 15-yard run on a reverse. But other than Johnson and Byrd, most of the passing game was pedestrian at best.
