Is Peyton Manning’s next career move to become a movie star? Well, he’s slated to be in a movie that’s coming out later this year at least.

According to a report from FOX 59 in Indianapolis, Manning has signed on to be a voice actor for the upcoming Ferdinand film. There hasn’t been any information as to which character Manning will be voicing in the movie, but he’ll be making his silver screen debut this winter when the movie comes out on December 15th, 2017.

Of course, Manning himself won’t be on the screen, but you’ll be able to hear his voice as a character at least.

“This experience has been a lot of fun,” Manning said in an interview with People about the film. “I was flattered to be asked by the good folks at Fox and by the creators of this film, Ferdinand. It’s something that I kind of wanted to be a part of, just to be able to watch this film with my kids and to see them laugh knowing maybe that’s their dad up there, onscreen.

“That’s kind of a cool thing at this moment because of their age and because animated films are so popular with my kids and certainly a lot of kids their age.”

Manning has been on television a few times in his career. He was a guest host for Saturday Night Live back in 2007 and was a guest star on an episode of Modern Family last year. But this will be the first time he’s been in a film.

Manning joins a voice cast that already includes wrestling star and budding movie actor John Cena as the titular character, Ferdinand, along with Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Daveed Diggs, Gabriel Iglesias, Bobby Cannavale, David Tennant, and Anthony Anderson.

The film itself is an adaption of the children’s book The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson. It tells the story of a giant bull who prefers sniffing flowers to bullfighting who is mistaken for a fearsome beast and taken from his home to face off against matadors.

You can hear Manning’s voice acting work starting on December 15th of this year when the movie hits theaters.
