Offensive MVP
Nathanael: John Kelly, RB
John Kelly is going to get more touches on offense than any other non-quarterback. Tennessee needs him to have a solid season to take pressure off of their first-time starter at quarterback, and I think he can do just that. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kelly eclipse the 1,000 yard rushing mark this season.
Will: Jauan Jennings, WR
I think Tennessee is going to rely heavily on Jennings early and often. Since he is far and away the clear number one target, he has to be the most valuable player on the Vols roster. John Kelly would’ve been my second pick, but he’s got more help around him. Jennings is the leader of the offense.
Mason: John Kelly, RB
Behind an entirely underrated offensive line, Kelly dashes his way to Offensive MVP. A reminder that Kelly quietly rushed for a higher YPC than Kamara or Hurd with a similar number of attempts. He may be overlooked because of names like Guice, Chubb, and Scarbourough, but Kelly is the SEC’s best kept secret. With little returning depth at his position, he and Chandler handle most of the snaps.
Ben: Quinten Dormady, QB
In order for Tennessee to have success this season, Quinten Dormady is going to have to have a big year and that’s exactly what he is going to do. The junior has had a really good fall camp, commanding the huddle and being a leader on the team. Dormady is an NFL talent and will prove to be one of the better quarterbacks in the SEC.
