Kick Returner: 1. Evan Berry, 2. Tyler Byrd – or- Micah Abernathy
Punt Returner: 1. Marquez Callaway, 2. Theo Jackson
Thoughts: For all the talk the position battle at kicker has gotten, Aaron Medley will still get the first shot at kickoffs and kicking field goals for Tennessee. But Brent Cimaglia could make his debut if Medley falters in the game.
Trevor Daniel and Evan Berry are no-brainers at their respective positions. The player opposite Berry at kick returner is still up in the air, however. Both Byrd and Abernathy have experience returning kicks, but Byrd looked more electric last season filling in for Berry when he was hurt. The punt returner position has been highly contested all fall, but Marquez Callaway should get the first crack at it. Theo Jackson has been a surprise contender there this fall as well.
