Vol fans got a glimpse of just how dynamic Alvin Kamara could be while he played for Tennessee from 2015-16. But as Vol fans will point out, Kamara was largely underutilized while at Tennessee. And he’s had the opportunity to show off his electric play-making very early in his NFL career.
In his fist game of the NFL preseason, Kamara flashed his potential with a strong 22-yard run with the New Orleans Saints. But then this past Sunday night, Kamara took that play-making ability to a whole new level.
On the Saints’ first play on offense, Kamara’s number was called. And he didn’t disappoint, torching the Los Angeles Chargers’ defense for a 50-yard touchdown run.

That score would be the only touchdown the Saints would score in the game, and it helped spur them on to a 13-7 victory. Kamara finished with five carries for 61 yards and caught a 22-yard pass. He also returned a punt 11 yards, giving him 94 all-purpose yards in the game.
