The Vols lost a lot of veteran talent off their roster when the 2016 season ended. Tennessee will have to rely on younger players to step up in 2017, and several of those players will be true freshmen playing collegiate football for the first time in their lives.
Tennessee won’t be relying on freshmen like they did in 2014 when several freshmen were needed to start at multiple positions, but the Vols do need younger players to play roles this season. And several of Tennessee’s freshmen are already standing out in fall camp and have what it takes to play this season.
