Walter Chadwick (1965-67)

When you have something on campus named after you, you’re a big deal to that university. And that’s just the case for Walter Chadwick. As of 2013, the running backs meeting room on UT’s campus was named in honor of Chadwick and his time as a Vol. In his three years with Tennessee, Chadwick totaled 1,306 yards and 16 touchdowns, hauling in 35 passes for 409 yards and a score as well. Chadwick was part of Tennessee’s post-Wing T offense era and twice led the Vols in rushing in his three years at Tennessee.

Richard Pickens (1966-68)

When he graduated in 1968, Richard Pickens was the Vols’ third-leading rusher of all-time. His career mark of 1,644 rushing yards on just 306 carries were behind just Andy Kozar and Beattie Feathers at the time. Pickens was a teammate of Chadwick, and both proved to be a strong duo during their brief crossover at Tennessee.
