Vols Land Commitment from Rising Elite RB

Not even a week ago, the Vols picked up a commitment from a potentially elite wide receiver in the 2020 class. Now Tennessee has added another potential top prospect to their 2020 recruiting class.

Miles Friday, a running back out of Suwanee, Georgia, took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon to announce his commitment to Tennessee.

Friday, like the Vols’ other 2020 commit, Leonard Manuel, has yet to be rated by any recruiting service. But he’s expected to be one of the top running backs in the nation in the 2020 class and holds offers from Alabama, Ohio State, UCLA, Georgia, Wisconsin, Baylor, Louisville, and others.

As a freshman, Friday totaled 970 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns according to his Hudl highlight film. And speaking of that film, it shows that Friday is an extremely shifty and elusive back who also knows how to use strength to break tackles.

Worth noting is the fact that both Friday and wide receiver Leonard Manuel will only be sophomores in high school this fall. They won’t be able to sign with the Vols (should they remain committed) until February of 2020, which is nearly three years away.

It’s still very early on in the 2020 class, but the Vols already have commitments from two of the projected top prospects in the class. Friday and Manuel have laid a strong foundation for the Vols’ 2020 class so far.
