Cam Sutton
Daniel:
The pick: Pittsburgh Steelers, No. 105 overall (3rd round)
Rationale: Cornerback might not be the top priority for the Steelers, but it is a need enough to the point that they would feel comfortable grabbing Sutton in the late third round. Mike Tomlin appreciates versatile players, and Sutton can play virtually any spot in the secondary and adds value to special teams as well.
Nathanael:
The pick: Chicago Bears, No. 117 overall (4th round)
Rationale: Sutton has opened up the possibility of playing a handful of positions in the NFL. He played almost exclusively at cornerback in college, but some scouts think he projects better as a nickel or safety in the pros. The Bears need defensive back help regardless of what position it is, and Sutton’s versatility and ability as a punt returner will make him hard to pass up when they’re on the clock in the fourth round.
