Alvin Kamara
Daniel:
The pick: Philadelphia Eagles, No. 43 overall (2nd round)
Rationale: The Eagles loaded up at receiver in free agency with Alshon Jeffrey and Torrey Smith. Now they complete their effort to surround Carson Wentz with weapons by snagging Alvin Kamara in the middle of the second round. Head coach Doug Pederson has to see a little bit of Jamal Charles, who he coached as the OC in Kansas City, in Kamara and he pushes the Eagles to make this selection.
Nathanael:
The pick: Carolina Panthers, No. 40 overall (2nd round)
Rationale: Kamara is likely going to go to a team that needs a solid change-of-pace running back or to a team that wants a viable pass catching threat out of the backfield. Given the Panthers’ running back situation and lack of proven and consistent depth behind starter Jonathan Stewart (and given Stewart’s own injury history), I think Kamara ends up in Carolina early in the second round. He would be a perfect weapon for Cam Newton to have at his disposal.
