Tennessee added several important pieces to the 2018 class over the course of the Orange and White Game weekend, but the Vols also found a potentially dynamic playmaker in the 2019 class.
‘Athlete’ Cameron Wynn, who plays quarterback, receiver and defensive back for Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga, Tenn., committed to the Vols shortly after Saturday’s spring game, giving the Vols their only firm commitment in the 2019 class at this point.

Tennessee is recruiting Wynn primarily as a receiver at this point.
The Vols have a couple “soft” commitments in the 2019 class at receiver in Independence (Tenn.) High School receivers Kendrell Scurry and and T.J. Sheffield, both of whom are ranked by 247Sports as top-200 players nationally. But with plenty of uncertainty surrounding the position after the departure of former receivers coach Zach Azzanni, both backed off their firm commitments.
Wynn, however, appears to be solid as he’s built a good relationship with new receivers coach Kevin Beard.
Wynn (5-11, 165 pounds), ranked as the No. 240 overall player in the nation and the 13th best in the state of Tennessee by 247Sports, chose the Vols over other early offers from Vanderbilt and a handful of other smaller schools. He threw for 723 yards, ran for 337 and had 79 yards of receiver as a sophomore in 2016, totaling 17 touchdowns in the process.
