5. Will he bring the Lady Vols name back for all female sports?
Tennessee made the controversial decision under Hart to do away with the “Lady Vols’ moniker for all female sports except for basketball. That was an extremely divisive decision that even led to some state legislators getting involved.
The logic of the move was to streamline and consolidate the Tennessee brands as the Vols switched over from adidas to Nike. But many thought it was an unnecessary move that dishonored many former Lady Vol coaches and players.
It’ll be interesting to see if Currie revisits this decision in an effort to try and unify a fanbase that is already skeptical of the administration.
