We haven’t seen him go live in pass-rush drills yet, but the redshirt junior is one of the players who looks physically different this spring. He’s down about 20 pounds and has returned to his more natural position of defensive end after playing some at defensive tackle last season due to injuries and a lack of depth. He looks quick and athletic and has a shot to be that five-star caliber edge rusher that Tennessee hoped it would get out of junior college. So far, so good, but replacing the likes of Derek Barnett and Corey Vereen on the field next fall won’t be easy.
